2 September 2015-31 May 2016
The educational community is showing a sustained interest in the “Educational Dialogues”, which are organized by the Herakleidon Museum and will continue during December 2015. Meetings have been scheduled with mathematics teachers from the middle and high schools of Athens.

Beginning in September 2015 and to this day, more than 400 educators of all school levels and college students in teaching programs have taken part in the “Educational Dialogues”, where the general teaching principles of the educational program “Science, Art and Mathematics”, based on interdisciplinary and interactive learning, are presented and discussed.

This program (design-scientific review: Apostolis Papanikolaou-Aris Mavromatis, researchers in the Didactics of Mathematics) is a continuation and expansion of the program, well known since 2005, ”Art and Mathematics”. It complements the interdisciplinary teaching material offered in schools, and is presented as a series of activities in interaction with the exhibits and specific works of art in the permanent Interactive Exhibition “I Play and Understand” in the main building of the museum (Herakleidon 16, Thissio, 1st and 2nd floor). This exhibition has been visited by more than 20.000 students since October 2014. As of March 2015, it is also open on Sundays from 10:00 to 18:00 for children and families, as well as anyone interested in enriching his or her scientific knowledge in an entertaining manner.
