The new, permanent Interactive Exhibition "I Play and Understand" opens to the public on Saturday, March 21st, 2015, at 11:00-19:00 at the main building of the Museum Herakleidon (1st and 2nd floors, Herakleidon 16, Thissio). The exhibition at the main building of the Museum Herakleidon (1st and 2nd floors) evolved from its educational program “Art and Mathematics”, which was based initially on the permanent collections of the museum, with works by the artists M.C. Escher and Victor Vasarely.

The Museum's E-Shop offers shopping convenience from your home or office for a wide selection of collectables that have been inspired by the museum's exhibits including Victor Vasarely and M.C. Escher. These items can also be found in our Gift Shop located on the ground floor of the museum. Our extensive list of products includes but is not limited to signed serigraphs, posters, books, silver jewelry with exclusive designs, watches, puzzles, silk ties, silk scarves, t-shirts, stationary, ceramics as well as products for children and handmade silver items with the museum's emblem. METAMORPHOSES OF ATHENS: PEOPLE-MEMORIES-MONUMENTS. A photographic itinerary 1839-1960

As a result of the high attendance from visitors, the Herakleidon Museum decided to extend the exhibition “Metamorphoses of Athens. A photographic itinerary 1839-1950” until July 19th 2015. The museum celebrated its tenth anniversary with the opening of a new space for art and culture. This exhibition is a tribute to the city of Athens, to celebrate the 180 years since it was proclaimed the capital of Greece.

STEM & ART: EDUCATIONAL ROBOTICS - Interactive workshops (in Greek) for 2nd - 6th grade Elementary School and 1st Grade Junior High School students / Spring 2015

The WeDo educational program (beginners & advanced) is a full robotics educational program designed for 2nd – 4th grade elementary school students. Students are divided into small groups and learn how to use software to program, and construct simple machines bringing real-world topics and programming to life in the classroom. The program develops students’ core skills in communication, team building and problem solving. The LEGO Mindstorms (new beginners) educational program is a full robotics educational program designed for 4th – 6th grade elementary school & 1st grade Junior High School students. With this robotics platform, the only limit is being set by the students’ imagination.
